2026 Itinerary

Egypt – Jordan (4th-16th), & Israel (16th-23rd)

Wednesday 4th November – Arrival 

  • Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met by our representative who will be holding a sign with your name on it at passport control. Our representative will assist with passport and visa formalities, after which you will be escorted to meet your driver, who will transfer you to your hotel.
  • Overnight in Cairo.

Thursday 5th November – Cairo  

  • Begin the day in the capital city, starting with a tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest archaeological museum complex in the world, and host to over 100,000 artifacts from Egypt’s years of pharaonic civilization, including the treasure collection of King Tut-ankh-amun. 
  • Continue to the Citadel to enjoy a spectacular view of Cairo. 
  • Visit the Alabaster Mosque, which adds a wonderful picture-postcard element to Cairo’s skyline. 
  • You will be given some time at leisure for shopping in the famous Khan-El-Khalili bazaar, which is a labyrinth of cobbled alleyways. This vast bazaar tempts the senses with spices, perfume and glittering gold, silver and brass.
  • Visit the newly restored Ben Ezra Synagogue.
  • Dinner & Overnight in Cairo.

Friday 6th November – Cairo 

  • Visit Memphis, the ancient capital of the Old Kingdom of Egypt and home of a colossal Statue of Ramesses II and the Alabaster Sphinx
  • Continue to the “Cemetery City” of Sakkara and view the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, the oldest of all Pyramids. 
  • In the afternoon, you will visit the Great Pyramids of Giza, the only present-day survivor of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
  • Nearby, the mystical Sphinx surveys the plains of Giza. The 20m high man-animal Sphinx, created as a “living image of the sun-god”, was built by Chephren to guard the entrance to the Pyramids. 
  • Dinner & Overnight in Cairo.

Saturday 7th November – Aswan High Dam, Philae Temple, Felucca 

  • Transfer to Cairo Airport for a flight to Aswan.
  • Visit the Aswan High Dam, a huge rock-fill dam, which captures the world’s longest river.
  • Visit the Philae Temple dedicated to the goddess Isis. 
  • In the afternoon, embark on your Nile cruise ship.
  • Enjoy a ride on a Felucca (traditional wooden sailing boat) on the Nile, sailing past the lush Botanic Garden on Kitchener’s Island, Elephantine Island, and the Aga Khan’s Mausoleum on the west bank. 
  • Dinner & Overnight aboard the Nile Cruiser.

Sunday 8th November – Kom Ombo, Edfu 

  • Midday, cruise to Kom Ombo to visit the Temple of Sobek and Haroeris, dedicated to the crocodile god and the falcon-headed god. 
  • Thereafter, the cruise continues along the Nile to Edfu
  • Dinner & Overnight aboard the Nile Cruiser.

Monday 9th November – Edfu, Esna, Luxor

  • Transfer through Edfu to the famous and best-preserved ancient Greek-built Horus temple, dedicated to the Falcon god and built on a rise to escape the annual flooding of the Nile. 
  • Return to your Nile Cruiser and enjoy the changing scenery as you cruise to Esna and cross through the Esna Lock. 
  • Continue cruising to Luxor
  • Visit the Luxor Temple, discovered beneath the shifting desert sands and originally joined to the Karnak Temple by an avenue of Sphinxes. 
  • Dinner & Overnight aboard the Nile Cruiser.

Tuesday 10th November – Luxor – Valley of Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Karnak Temple 

  • Travel to the West Bank and visit the Theban Necropolis and the Valley of the Kings, a vast City of the Dead for generations of Pharaohs, where magnificent tombs were carved into the desert rock, richly decorated, and filled with treasures for the afterlife. 
  • Visit the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.
  • See the Colossi of Memnon, which are all that remains of the Temple of Amenophis, destroyed by the annual flooding of the Nile.
  • Visit the Karnak Temple.
  • Transfer to Luxor Airport for the flight to Cairo and transfer to the Cairo hotel. 
  • Dinner & Overnight in Cairo.

Wednesday 11th November – Amman

  • Transfer to Cairo International Airport for the flight from Cairo to Amman.
  • Drive for a panoramic visit of old and modern Amman. See the Citadel and Amphitheater, drive to see Amman’s gold and spice markets and see the stylish modern Abdoun and Swefieh neighborhoods.
  • Arrive at the Amman hotel.
  • Dinner & Overnight in Amman.

Thursday 12th November – Mount Nebo / Wadi Rum

  • After breakfast, drive from Amman to Mount Nebo, from where Moses viewed the Promised Land. From there, you will see the Jordan Valley, Jericho, and the Dead Sea.
  • Continue along the Desert Highway to Wadi Rum, and discover natural rock-scapes, sand-dunes, and ancient inscriptions in a 4×4 Bedouin pick-up safari, visiting Burdah rock bridge, Khazali canyon and Lawrence’s (of Arabia) spring – a natural watering hole. 
  • Enjoy tea with Bedouins.
  • Dinner & Overnight in Wadi Rum.

Friday 13th November – Petra

  • Drive from Wadi Rum to Wadi Musa, the modern village of Petra.
  • Visit Petra, one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world, starting with a walk, or ride on horseback to the entrance of the “Siq” (Canyon).
  • Walk through The Siq to Al Khazneh (The Treasury), a temple with an ornate 45m-high Greek-style façade. Visit the Royal tombs, Amphitheatre, Colonnaded Street and Qasr Al Bint.
  • Free time to explore on your own before leaving the site.
  • Dinner & Overnight in Petra.

Saturday 14th November – Wadi Mujib, Dhiban, Amman

  • Depart Petra towards the Dead Sea with a short stop at the Wadi Mujib, where you can view the northern cliff of the wadi where Bedouin discovered sixteen blackened leather strips in a cave, circa 1865. Acquired by Moses Shapira in 1878, these strips remain the most controversial artifact in biblical scholarship.
  • Continue to see Dhiban, where the Mesha Stele, or Moabite Stone, was discovered in 1868. Dhiban was one of the stations of the Israelites during the exodus, and became part of the lot assigned to Gad’s tribe, according to Numbers, and/or to Reuben’s tribe, according to Joshua.
  • Drive north to Madaba, to visit the remains of the Byzantine church with its ancient mosaic floor map, the oldest surviving original cartographic depiction of the mosaic map of the Holy Land and Jerusalem.
  • Dinner & Overnight in Amman.

Sunday 15th November – Amman 

  • Depart Amman, driving north to visit Jerash – city of the Decapolis, located about 45km north of Amman in the fertile heights of the Gilad. Visit the ancient Roman city with its collonaded streets, baths, and the hilltop Temple.
  • Visit Tel Mar Elias, associated with Tishbi and mentioned in the Bible as the residence and possible birthplace of the prophet Elijah.
  • Ride the cable car (weather permitting), offering stunning panoramic views of the mountainous forest landscape, to visit Ajloun Castle.
  • Return to Amman.
  • Overnight and dinner in Amman.

Monday 16th November – Sheikh Hussein Border / Israel 

  • Those ending their tour in Jordan will be transferred to Queen Alia Airport, Amman.
  • For those continuing to Israel, we drive to the Jordan/Israel border at the Sheikh Hussein Bridge. 
  • Cross the border into Israel.
  • For those arriving in Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv, Israel, you will be met by our representative who will be holding a sign with your name on it at the Arrivals Hall, after which you will be escorted to meet your transport to take you on a scenic and informative trip north, to meet with the rest of the group at Mount Carmel.
  • Ascend Mount Carmel, associated with the prophet Elijah. Stop at the Horns of Hattin, a site of the famous Crusader battle. Visit Mount Arbel, offering breathtaking views over the Sea of Galilee.
  • Dinner & Overnight in Tiberias.

Tuesday 17th November – Elon Moreh / Tel Shiloh

  • Visit Elon Moreh, where, according to Genesis 12:6-7, Abraham pitched his tent and built an altar. View ancient Shechem and the traditional sites of Mount Ebal and Mount Gerizim. Continue to Tel Shiloh, the archaeological site where the Tabernacle stood for 369 years, during the period of the Judges.
  • Dinner & Overnight in Kfar Hanokdim (lodges).

Wednesday 18th  November – Masada / Tel Arad

  • Ascend to the fortress of Masada, symbol of Jewish resistance against the Romans, with sweeping views of the Dead Sea. 
  • Visit Tel Arad, an ancient city with remains of a temple and fortifications from biblical times.
  • Dinner & Overnight in Ein Bokek (Dead Sea).

Thursday 19th November – Qumran / Wadi Qelt / Mitzpe Yericho 

  • Visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. 
  • Explore Wadi Qelt, a dramatic desert gorge traditionally understood to be Psalm 23’s “Valley of the shadow of death”. There is also reason to believe it is the valley between Mount Ebal and Mount Gerizim
  • Stop at the Mitzpe Yericho lookout, with panoramic views of Jericho and the Jordan Valley.
  • Dinner & Overnight in Jerusalem.

Friday 20th November – Jerusalem

  • Walk along the Ramparts of the Old City walls. 
  • Visit the City of David, with its archaeological remains and Hezekiah’s Tunnel
  • In the evening, enjoy the Tower of David Light Show, which tells the story of Jerusalem through sound and visuals.
  • Dinner & Overnight in Jerusalem.

Saturday 21st November – Jerusalem

  • Experience a Shabbat walk in the Old City, soaking in the unique atmosphere of Jerusalem on the day of rest.
  • Dinner & Overnight in Jerusalem.

Sunday 22nd November – Hebron

  • Excursion to Hebron, home to the Tomb of the Patriarchs, revered by Jews, Christians, and Muslims alike.
  • Dinner & Overnight in Jerusalem.

Monday 23rd November – Jerusalem / Ben Gurion Airport

  • Visit Bible Hill, a scenic viewpoint overlooking Jerusalem, where the Silver Scroll containing the Priestly Benediction was discovered. 
  • Explore the Israel Museum, housing the Dead Sea Scrolls and a detailed model of Jerusalem from the Second Temple period. 
  • Transfer to the airport for international departure.
